Role Description

This is an on-site role located in Richmond Hill, ON, for a Personal Support Worker.

The Personal Support

Worker will assist with day-to-day tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, sitter, and mobility support. The role involves fostering a safe, caring workplace, monitoring the overall well-being of clients, and providing companionship to promote emotional well-being.



The individual will also ensure adherence to established health and safety guidelines while promoting the independence of clients.

Qualifications

- Experience as a Support Worker and knowledge of best practices related to caregiving
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills to build rapport and interact effectively with clients and families
- An understanding of Safeguarding principles to ensure client safety and well-being
- Basic Technical Support skills for operating assistive devices and other home care equipment
- Compassionate nature, reliability, and ability to work effectively under minimal supervision
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker or equivalent qualification
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to provide care with respect and dignity, maintaining confidentiality
