Pond and Landscape Maintenance Technician

About This Role
Are you hands-on, dependable and enjoy working outdoors? No Limit Landscaping is looking for a Pond and Landscape Maintenance Technician to join our team full time. Your primary focus will be maintaining ponds and water features across the Lower Mainland, keeping them clean, safe and visually appealing.
On occasion, your work may involve interacting with wildlife and natural debris, including fish, frogs, insects, and other animals. You will support the care of softscape areas, helping maintain landscaped spaces and plantings to keep the property looking its best. Previous pond or landscaping experience would be an asset but not required.
We provide on-the-job training to help you develop your skills and grow your career. Workdays begin by meeting at the office (Burnaby) before travelling with the team to job sites across the Lower Mainland, often driving a company work truck (usually a Ford F-350).
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work, enjoys variety and attention to detail, and wants a steady, skill-building position.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and clean ponds and water features
- Remove debris, algae, sediment, and organic buildup
- Assist with moving rocks, boulders and pond materials
- Clean and maintain filters, pumps, and underwater/landscape lighting; replace lights when required
- Inspect pond edges, liners, and surrounding areas for maintenance and safety issues
- Support care of planted landscapes and outdoor spaces
- Perform weeding, pruning, mulching, edging, and general maintenance
- Refresh and maintain artificial turf
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials
- Upkeep and maintain tools, equipment, machine
- Assist with site setup, organization, and cleanup
- Follow all safety procedures and WorkSafeBC guidelines
- Communicate professionally with team members and clients
Qualifications
- Enjoys outdoor hands-on work and physical labour
- Comfortable working around and in water
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Willing to learn and take instruction
- Must have steel-toed waterproof boots
- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Assets
- Experience operating trucks with trailers
- Experience using a pressure washer
- Experience operating landscaping and pond machinery
- Knowledge of plant care, algae management and general landscape maintenance practices in the Lower Mainland
- Familiarity with irrigation or pond filtration systems
- WHMIS certification or First Aid training
Physical Outdoor Work Expectations
- This role involves physically tasks such as lifting, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions across the Lower Mainland
