Job Overview The Welland Community Centre is seeking an energetic, creative, and passionate Preschool Dancers Instructor to lead our popular preschool dance program. This role is perfect for an individual who enjoys working with young children and fostering a positive, inclusive environment where participants can develop confidence, coordination, creativity, and a love of movement.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and lead engaging preschool dance classes for children ages 3 to 5 years.
- Introduce basic dance movements, rhythm, coordination, and creative expression through age-appropriate activities.
- Develop fun and interactive lesson plans that encourage participation and skill development.
- Provide clear instructions and demonstrations suited to young learners.
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and supportive workplace where children can build confidence and social skills.
- Monitor participant progress and provide positive encouragement and feedback.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during classes.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding participant progress, class expectations, and program updates.




- Assist with end-of-session demonstrations or performances, if applicable.

Qualifications

- Previous experience teaching dance, movement, or recreation programs for preschool-aged children is required.
- Background in dance, creative movement, or early childhood physical activity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire young children.
- Patient, enthusiastic, reliable, and creative.
- Experience working with children in a recreational, educational, or childcare setting is an asset.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not required.

Schedule: Tuesdays from September 15th - December 8th

- 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
- 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Location: Welland Community Centre Pay: From $22.50 per hour

Flexible language requirement

- French not required

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
- dancing teaching: 1 year (required)
