Explore your next role: The Procurement Project Specialist will report to the Procurement Manager and will support company-obligated projects by coordinating the sourcing, reporting, purchasing, repairing and tracking of materials and services. The position also supports project requirements through repair coordination, vendor follow-up,
and the preparation of accurate procurement and status reports to meet established timelines.
Project Purchasing and Vendor Coordination
- Process and oversee project-specific purchase requisitions in the computerized maintenance/procurement system(CMP) (e.g., WinAir), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procurement policies.
- Source and qualify vendors; solicit, evaluate, negotiate quotes based on cost, quality, lead time, and select suppliers according to project requirements.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, monitor order fulfillment, and proactively expedite deliveries to mitigate schedule risks and support critical project milestones.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Shop, Stores, Engineering) and external vendors to resolve issues related to pricing, logistics, documentation, and invoicing discrepancies.
- Coordinate returns, exchanges, or warranty claims, ensuring minimal project disruption
- Identify procurement risks (e.g., long lead times, supplier capacity, cost escalation) and recommend mitigation strategies.
Repair Management
- Initiate, issue, and coordinate repair orders for project-specific assets, ensuring alignment with technical, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Track repair progress, follow up with vendors on delays or issues, and provide regular status updates project and technical teams
- Review repaired items upon return to ensure they meet quality standards, airworthiness/certification requirements (where applicable), safety standards, and project specifications.
- Escalate repair performance or quality issues as required and support resolution in collaboration with vendors, engineering, and quality teams.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and maintain project-specific reports on procurement, repair activities, delivery milestones, costs, and variances.
- Ensure procurement and repair records are accurately maintained in CMP and related company databases for auditability and traceability.
- Review and verify vendor certifications, compliance documentation, and supporting records to ensure alignment with regulatory and project requirements.
- Support preparation of prepayment requests and budget tracking reports for projects.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline procurement and reporting processes for project work.
Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:
- High school diploma
- Purchasing or supply chain courses (PMAC, CPSC) preferred
- WHMIS and TDG certifications required
- Supply Chain Management or PMAC certification preferred
- 2+ years of procurement, supply chain, or project support experience
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Eligibility: You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.

- This position starts at $29.75/hour, with compensation commensurate with experience
