About Freebird Market

Freebird Market is a growing food production company specializing in premium retail, wholesale, and catering products. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Production Baker to join our production kitchen.

We produce a wide variety of baked goods, including artisan breads, pizza dough, pastries, seasonal products, and both sweet and savoury items. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality products.

This is a full-time position that requires open availability, including evenings and weekends, as schedules are based on business needs.

Responsibilities

- Prepare, mix, portion, proof, and bake a variety of products, including:
- Artisan breads
- Pizza dough
- Sweet baked goods
- Savoury baked goods
- Seasonal and specialty items
- Follow recipes and production schedules while maintaining consistency and quality
- Prepare ingredients and ensure the baking station is fully stocked and organized
- Monitor product quality throughout the baking process
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures




- Work closely with Team Leads to ensure production deadlines are met
- Assist with inventory and communicate ingredient requirements
- Support other areas of the production kitchen as needed

Qualifications
- Previous commercial baking experience is required
- Experience working in a high-volume production bakery or commercial kitchen is preferred
- Experience preparing pizza dough and working with fermented doughs is considered an asset
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable with excellent attendance
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet throughout the shift
- Must have full-time, open availability, including evenings and weekends

Schedule
- Full-time (40+ hours per week)
- Open availability is required
- Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Overtime may be available during busy periods

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
