Job Overview The Production Manager is responsible for leading all manufacturing operations related to the production of AC and DC electric vehicle (EV) chargers. This role oversees production planning, assembly, testing, quality, workforce management, inventory control, and continuous improvement activities to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has experience in electrical equipment, power electronics, automotive, EV, or electronics manufacturing environments and possesses strong leadership and Lean Manufacturing expertise.

Responsibilities

- Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Operations

- Lead day-to-day production activities for EV charger manufacturing and assembly lines.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Develop and execute production plans based on customer demand and sales forecasts.
- Optimize labor allocation, equipment utilization, and manufacturing workflows.
- Monitor and improve overall production efficiency and throughput.

Team Leadership

- Manage and develop production supervisors, line leaders, technicians, and operators.
- Establish performance goals and conduct regular coaching and performance reviews.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment, training, and workforce development initiatives.

Quality & Compliance

- Ensure products meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive adherence to manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
- Work closely with Quality teams to reduce defects, rework, and customer returns.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, ISO 9001, and other applicable standards.

Production Planning & Inventory Management

- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure material availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and support inventory accuracy initiatives.




- Coordinate production schedules to minimize downtime and maximize output.
- Identify and mitigate production risks related to material shortages and capacity constraints.

Continuous Improvement

- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.
- Drive improvements in productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance.
- Analyze production KPIs and implement corrective actions when targets are not met.
- Support automation and process optimization projects.

New Product Introduction (NPI)

- Partner with Engineering teams to support new EV charger product launches.
- Ensure manufacturing readiness for new products and engineering changes.
- Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production standards.
- Support pilot builds and production ramp-up activities.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

- Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and promote a strong safety culture.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper handling of electrical components and testing equipment.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience in electrical equipment, power electronics, EV charging systems, automotive, electronics, or related industries.
- Proven experience managing production teams in a quick-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly operations.
- Knowledge of EV charging products, power electronics, electrical systems, or related technologies.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.

Pay: $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
