Cedar Valley is a proudly Canadian snack brand on a mission to bring authentic style pita chips to families across North America. From humble beginnings — making pita chips in our home kitchen — to becoming a national brand on shelves at Costco, Whole Foods, and over 4,000 stores, we’ve grown fast. We manufacture everything in-house, use 100% coconut oil (never seed oils), and are inspired by our Lebanese roots.

We’re growing rapidly and are looking to add a full-time Production Supervisor to our team. In this role, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing floor (Days/Afternoons/Midnights), ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You’ll oversee production schedules, support a team of operators, and uphold our high standards for quality and food safety- ensuring every bag of pita chips reflects our commitment to excellence.

This is a full-time role based on a five-day workweek (Monday to Friday), with potential weekend shifts based on production needs as we continue to grow. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers engaged in operating machinery and equipment to produce snack foods
- Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow as needed to meet production targets and customer demands
- Ensure that all production processes adhere to quality standards and safety regulations
- Lead and motivate a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
- Schedule shifts and assign duties to ensure optimal staffing levels and productivity
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, efficiency, and safety




- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to verify that products meet specifications and regulatory requirements
- Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure that machinery and equipment are properly maintained and repaired
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all employees
- Monitor raw material inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supply
- Oversee packaging and shipping processes to ensure timely delivery of finished products
- Maintain accurate production records, including production output, downtime, and quality control measures
- Prepare reports and presentations for management regarding production performance and operational efficiency
- Adhere to all safety requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

- Authorized to work in Canada
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and quality control standards
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to food manufacturing
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional time management and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Able to lift 25 kg
- Stand for extended periods
- Able to operate both manual and motorized equipment
- Able to utilize proper bending/lifting/pushing techniques

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
