Production Technician – Polymer Compounding

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Starting Wage: $23.00/hour

Matter Industries is a growing Canadian manufacturer of premium polymer materials for the additive manufacturing industry. We develop and manufacture advanced plastic compounds and 3D printing materials using modern twin-screw compounding and extrusion equipment.

We're looking for a motivated, mechanically inclined individual to join our production team as a Production Technician – Polymer Compounding. This position offers a clear path into a managerial role for the right person.

No previous compounding experience is required. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training and are looking for someone who is dependable, eager to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor polymer compounding equipment
- Accurately weigh and blend raw materials according to production recipes
- Load materials into production equipment
- Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Package finished materials and prepare them for production or shipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Troubleshoot minor equipment and process issues
- Work closely with the production team to meet daily manufacturing goals

Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with industrial equipment




- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
- Able to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
- Comfortable standing and moving throughout the workday
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Leadership potential and a desire to grow within the company
- Forklift experience is an asset but not required

Compensation & Benefits
