Wage: $31.00 per hour plus provincial wage enhancement grant

First Place Early Learning Centre Inc. is seeking an experienced, cooperative, and inspiring Program Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our licensed child care centre.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Supervisor provides leadership and support to educators while ensuring the delivery of high-quality early learning programs that are safe, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of children and families. This role is responsible for overseeing staffing, licensing compliance, program quality, health and safety, and day-to-day centre operations.

What You'll Do

- Lead the daily operations of the child care centre and ensure compliance with all licensing, health, safety, and legislative requirements.
- Supervise, mentor, and support educators, supply staff, students, and volunteers.
- Promote high-quality, play-based learning experiences that reflect How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years.
- Develop staff schedules and maintain required child-to-educator ratios.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, staff development, and performance management.
- Support educators through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing professional learning.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Respond to parent, staff,



and operational concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Oversee required documentation, licensing records, serious occurrences, and regulatory reporting.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture that reflects the mission and values of First Place Early Learning Centre Inc.

Qualifications

Applicants must have

- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the employer (issued within six months prior to employment).
- Up-to-date immunization documentation as required.
- Minimum two (2) years of leadership, supervisory, or administrative experience.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.

The following are considered assets:
- Leadership, supervisory, or administrative experience in a licensed child care environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, Ontario Regulation 137/15, and How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years.
- Knowledge of employment legislation, workplace health and safety, and human resources practices.
