Project Manager - Infrastructure / Construction

Pay Rate: $62.63/hour, depending on experience

Contract Length: 1 year

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia

Raise is currently hiring a

Project Manager - Infrastructure / Construction on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description The Project Manager - Infrastructure / Construction in this role will lead cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of low to medium risk infrastructure and construction projects (typically with capital costs up to $20 million), ensuring they are completed safely, with high quality, within budget, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution: Plan, direct, and report on infrastructure and construction project activities by consistently monitoring project benefits, resources, and status. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, action logs, communication plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.

Lifecycle & Risk Management: Develop robust project plans and risk management plans for projects up to $20 million to ensure effective execution throughout the project lifecycle.

Multi-Disciplinary Coordination: Manage diverse project activities,



including quality assurance, engineering, First Nations and stakeholder engagement, regulatory approvals, procurement, planning and controls, construction management, pre-commissioning, and security - using established project management standards.

Stakeholder Relations: Maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, engineers, and field crews, through clear, professional verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Data & Progress Tracking: Utilize advanced analytical, reporting, and data management capabilities to track project metrics, handle large datasets, and fulfill business reporting requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years (preferred 5+ years) of direct Project or Program Management experience. (Note: Compensation rates will reflect experience levels below 5 years).

Demonstrated experience managing project deliverables, timelines, risks, and large datasets.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, alongside intermediate skills in MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Project) and project management software.

Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities, with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.





Proven ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Advanced English language skills (written and spoken) suitable for a professional corporate environment.

Nice-to-Haves

Industry background in infrastructure, utilities, or heavy construction.

Direct experience with contract management and vendor relations.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.

Professional designation such as a Project Management Qualified (PMP®). (nice to have)

Additional Information

Site visit - up to 4 times per year as needed.

Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.

Every contractor must supply their own "Smart Phone". This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
