Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday, full-time. 7am to 4pm; however, this role is project-based and hours may vary based on project schedules, site conditions, marine conditions, weather, client requirements, and business needs.
Project
Managers should expect to work approximately 50 hours per week, with additional hours as required.
Compensation Range: $100,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate.

About This Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and organized Project Manager to support our Marine Division, with a primary focus on dredging, environmental remediation, shoreline protection, and related marine and civil construction projects.
This role is responsible for managing project planning, coordination, scheduling, communication, documentation, budgets, change management, subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and client relationships. The Project Manager works closely with owners, consultants, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, Site Supervisors, Foremen, operators, crew members, and internal teams to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on budget, and to company standards.
The successful candidate will bring robust construction knowledge, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment. Experience with marine construction, dredging, shoreline work, environmental remediation, sheet piling, barges, tugboats, or water-adjacent construction is considered an asset.
Responsibilities: Project Management & Coordination:
Manage assigned marine and civil construction projects from planning through completion
Coordinate project schedules, labour, equipment, vessels, barges, tugboats, materials, subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, permits, access, and project requirements
Work closely with Site Supervisors, Foremen, operators, crews, subcontractors, consultants, customers, inspectors, suppliers, and internal teams
Review drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, schedules, site conditions, marine conditions, permits, environmental requirements, and project documentation
Monitor project progress, productivity, safety, quality, costs, timelines, deficiencies, and overall project performance
Identify project risks, delays, conflicts, deficiencies, changes, access issues, weather impacts, water level concerns, marine conditions, and site concerns, and elevate or resolve them as required
Support project planning, sequencing, resource coordination, and day-to-day decision-making
Help ensure work is completed in accordance with project requirements, company standards, client expectations, and applicable regulations
Marine Division & Field Support:
Support marine construction activities, including dredging, environmental remediation, shoreline protection, sheet piling, barge-related work, tugboat operations, excavation, material handling, site preparation,
restoration, and related civil construction activities
Coordinate equipment, materials, deliveries, disposal needs, staging areas, access, site logistics, marine logistics, and operational needs for assigned projects
Work with field teams to support safe and efficient work around water, vessels, barges, equipment, traffic, utilities, slopes, excavations, and changing site conditions
Assist with planning and coordinating work impacted by weather, water levels, access limitations, permits, inspections, environmental requirements, and customer needs
Communicate project priorities, changes, and required follow-ups to internal teams and field staff
Financial, Contract & Change Management:
Support project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, billing, invoicing, progress claims, and work-in-progress reporting as required
Review and track project costs, labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, rentals, purchase orders, and other project expenses
Prepare, review, track, and communicate change orders, extra work, quotations, approvals, and related documentation
Review subcontractor and supplier documentation, invoices, progress claims, and supporting records as required
Monitor project scope and help ensure changes are documented, approved, and communicated before work proceeds where required
Support contract administration, closeout documentation, deficiency tracking, warranties, and final project records
Communication, Documentation & Safety:
Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, Site Supervisors, Foremen, crews, and internal teams
Attend and participate in project meetings, site meetings, pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and closeout meetings as required
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, meeting notes, reports, correspondence, RFIs, submittals, change orders, photos, permits, drawings, and project records
Support safety planning, site coordination, hazard identification, incident follow-up, environmental controls, and compliance with company and site-specific safety requirements
Ensure project teams follow company policies, site rules, client requirements, PPE requirements, traffic plans, marine safety requirements, environmental requirements, and safe work procedures
Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, employees, regulators, and the public
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Previous project management experience in marine construction, dredging, environmental remediation, shoreline protection, civil construction, general contracting, or a related construction environment is required
Experience with barges, tugboats, dredging equipment, sheet piling, shoreline work, environmental controls, water-adjacent construction, or marine logistics is considered an asset
Robust understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, schedules, permits, and project documentation
Experience coordinating crews, subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, vessels, materials, inspections, permits, and client requirements
Experience with project budgeting, cost tracking, change orders, billing, progress claims, RFIs, submittals,
purchase orders, or contract administration is considered an asset
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and construction/project management software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, priorities, and stakeholders at the same time
Valid driver’s licence in good standing
Where driving is, or may become, part of the employee’s duties, the employee must maintain a valid driver’s licence in good standing and provide an acceptable driver’s abstract that meets company and insurance requirements The company may obtain and review the employee’s driver’s abstract every three months, or as otherwise required
Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, accountable, and able to exercise sound judgment
Must comply with company health and safety requirements and be fit for duty while visiting sites, driving company vehicles, or performing work
