Registered Clinical Psychologist (Contract – Virtual)
Healing Waves Counselling is a growing private practice based in British Columbia that specializes in providing high-quality, client-centered mental health services. We are currently seeking a Registered Clinical Psychologist to join our team who is passionate about assessment and evidence-based care.
At Healing Waves Counselling, we operate from a therapist-first model. We believe that when clinicians are supported, they are able to provide exceptional care to their clients. We offer flexible scheduling, a collaborative team environment, and regular check-ins to ensure our clinicians' well-being is a priority.
Position Details
- Position Type: Independent Contractor (Virtual / Work from Home)
- Location: British Columbia (Remote)
- Availability: 1–3 days per week
- Compensation: 60/40 revenue split (approximately $130–$300+ per client, depending on the service provided)
Responsibilities
- Provide psychological counselling services to children, adolescents, and/or adults.
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including:
- ADHD assessments (required)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments (preferred)
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Bipolar disorder
- Other mental health and diagnostic assessments within your scope of practice.
- Conduct clinical interviews, psychological testing, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Prepare comprehensive assessment reports and recommendations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Collaborate with other members of the Healing Waves Counselling team when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards.
Qualifications
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology.
- Registered and in good standing with the appropriate provincial regulatory college, with authorization to practise psychology in British Columbia.
- Valid licence to provide psychological services in BC.
- Minimum of one year of experience conducting ADHD assessments.
- Experience assessing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is considered a strong asset.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or a combination of these populations.
- Professional liability (malpractice) insurance.
