and Responsibilities:

1. Organize and control the purchasing activity of the service and manufacturing arm of the company
2. Select Best supplier to accommodate pricing and timing
3. Assess cost of goods and services
4. Enforce purchasing rules and regulations, scrutinize and control quantity requested
5. Final negotiation of price offer
6. Discuss and suggest with Engineers, Shop Supervisors and Construction Supervisors for product development and special requests.
7. Coordinate with Accounts Payable for payment schedules
8. Approve Invoices before processing of payments
9. Process return of merchandise and coordinate reimbursements
10. Input observations and clarifications before a decision is made
11. Spot red flags to avoid over stock and unnecessary requests
12. Help company balance finance vs assets
13. Double check measurements of Elevator Items for customization before sending to bidders
14. Inform Sales, Service, Shop and site supervisors for price changes
15. Perpetual searching for best price available
16. Maintain relationships with existing vendors and develop new ones
17. Provide various information to various departments as needed
18. Update District managers for elevator items ETA
19.



Search and Purchase Elevator Parts current and obsolete and suggest alternatives and options
20. Purchase general, unique and customized materials and services
21. Assess requisition for tools, equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased
22. Accepts quotations, review and award Purchase Orders to the best option
23. Coordinate delivery schedules and contact suppliers if a problem arises
24. Research, educate and understand new items encountered always.
25. Evaluate, compute, order and coordinate Elevator Ropes for maintenance change
26. Discuss with various internal stakeholders and fully understand and clarify their requirements and needs
27. Coordinate with warehouse for incoming delivery schedule and space allocation
28. Help Accounts payable verify invoices to items received

Skills Requirements

- Minimum 3–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience in manufacturing, construction, industrial, engineering, or service industries.
- Solid negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Experience purchasing industrial equipment, elevator components, mechanical parts, electrical components, or construction materials.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and product requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and TOTAL ERP System
- Knowledge in inventory control, procurement best practices, and supply chain processes

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment · Second Language is an asset

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute education requirement
- Certificate in SiteReady BC
