As part of the Quality Control team, the Quality Control (QC) Technician will be coordinating and organizing repairs to meet the timelines of finishing schedule. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of finishing trades including drywall, paint and finish carpentry.

Key Responsibilities Coordinate and communicate deficiencies with subcontractors and ensure timely completion of deficient work;

Identify, document, and close out deficient work items to meet the project completion schedule;

Perform caulking, silicone, drywall repairs, install and remove finish protection, cleaning, and any associated interior finish construction work as required;

Support during Owner/Client deficiency inspections and subsequent repairs required with the construction team;

Assist with some general labour duties, such as the cleaning and organization of materials;

Experience Previous experience and general knowledge/understanding of high-rise construction process and finishing quality and sequence;

Ability to handle minor deficiencies, repairs and finishing work in residential construction;

Robust communication and organizational skills to communicate deficiencies and progress with QC Supervisor and trade partners;

Experienced with reading and comprehending construction drawings and understanding construction finishing practices is required;

Microsoft suite of productivity software proficiency is preferred. Procore is an asset;

Ability to work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment.
