QE Automation Engineer

Job Summary The QE Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing,



and executing automated testing solutions to ensure application quality, reliability, and performance. The role requires strong automation expertise, database validation skills, CI/CD knowledge, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts

Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing activities

Develop automation solutions using Robot Framework and Python

Perform data validation using SQL queries and database testing techniques

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions

Manage test execution, defect tracking, and reporting using qTest and JIRA

Create and maintain test documentation in Confluence

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure quality standards

Identify, track, and resolve defects through the testing lifecycle

Leverage AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve testing efficiency and productivity

Must-Have Skills

Solid Quality Engineering and Automation Testing experience

Hands-on experience with Robot Framework

Strong Python scripting skills

Experience writing medium to complex SQL queries for data validation

Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD processes





Hands-on experience with qTest, JIRA, and Confluence

Strong understanding of QE best practices and testing methodologies

Experience with defect management and test reporting

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Excellent collaboration and communicati on skills

Exposure to GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development/testing tools

Nice-to-Have Skills

Banking or Audit domain experience

ISTQB certification

Experience working in regulated environments

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies

Exposure to API and integration testing

Salary Range - CA$ 90,000 - CA$ 110,000 Per Year
