Help Wanted: Quality Control (QC) Person

Are you a highly motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality? We're looking for a Quality Control (QC) Professional to join our dynamic team and enhance our current quality control operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Report to the QC Manager and follow the established Quality Control Program.
- Inspect process piping and fabricated components to verify compliance with applicable legislation, construction codes, drawings and client specifications.
- Perform visual inspections of pressure piping, structural steel and weldments.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, welding procedures and welder qualification records.
- Execute inspections and sign off projects in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Review material test reports and verify materials against project requirements.
- Coordinate non-destructive examination activities with third-party contractors, including RT, UT, MT and PT.
- Prepare X-ray maps and verify NDE results.




- Compile QC documents, inspection reports, pressure-piping data reports and turnover packages.
- Scan, organize and submit final data books according to client requirements.
- Maintain welder continuity records and coordinate welder qualification testing with third-party organizations.
- Prepare non-conformance reports when required and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, inspectors and contractors.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Level 1 CWB Welding Inspector certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable ASME and CSA codes and standards, including ASME Sections V, VIII and IX, ASME B31.3 and CSA B51.
- Understanding of non-destructive examination methods and techniques.
- Ability to interpret QA/QC documentation, NDE results, technical test data and material specifications.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, welding procedures and welder qualification documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Acorn/SpoolFab and Bluebeam is considered an asset.
- Strong computer, documentation and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and contribute effectively in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
