The Receiver is responsible for the day-to-day receiving operations within our manufacturing facility. This role ensures all inbound materials are accurately verified, safely handled, and properly documented to support uninterrupted production flow. The Receiver also works closely with the Quality and Warehouse teams, including assisting with inspections and handling fragile materials such as glass.

The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, safety-focused, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Material Receiving & Inventory Support

- Receive, verify, and document incoming materials against purchase orders and inspection reports (quantity, type, and condition).
- Coordinate with the Quality team to inspect incoming shipments and escalate discrepancies or damage promptly.
- Safely move inventory using material-handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies).
- Handle fragile materials, including small and large glass units, with extreme care.
- Support production by replenishing inventory bins and feeding production lines.
- Empty warehouse bins and assist with general material flow.
- Assist Warehouse teams with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.




- Move materials to inspection areas to support Quality control activities.

Equipment & Facility Coordination
- Report equipment or area issues and coordinate with Maintenance for routine upkeep of the receiving area and equipment.

Documentation & Accuracy
- Maintain organized, accurate records of all incoming materials.
- Ensure data integrity within ERP and inventory management systems.

Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Follow and promote Lux Windows’ policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Comply with all health and safety legislation, PPE requirements, and OSHA regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a receiving or warehouse environment.
- Minimum 3 years of forklift operation experience.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Proficiency with material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies).
- Experience handling fragile materials, including glass.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move 50+ lbs on a regular basis.
- Familiarity with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (solid asset).
- Comfortable using computers and common software (MS Office, inventory systems).




- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating respectful leadership and teamwork.

Education & Technical Skills

- Post-secondary diploma or equivalent.
- Strong reading comprehension and basic arithmetic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, prints, and tape measures.
