Role Description This part-time Receptionist role is an on-site position based in Ottawa, ON. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, answering and directing phone calls, managing appointment scheduling, and supporting the smooth flow of the front desk. Day-to-day tasks include checking patients in and out, maintaining up-to-date records, handling inquiries, and coordinating with clinical staff to ensure timely service.

The role also involves basic clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and processing forms or payments as needed.



The Receptionist contributes to a calm and professional atmosphere by providing courteous, productive service to every visitor and caller.

Qualifications

Strong receptionist duties skills, including greeting visitors, managing appointments, and maintaining an organized front desk.

Phone etiquette and communication skills to handle calls, relay messages accurately, and provide clear, respectful information.

Clerical skills such as data entry, filing, record maintenance, and basic use of office software.

Customer service skills to respond to patient needs, resolve minor issues, and ensure a welcoming, inclusive experience.

Ability to work on-site in Ottawa, ON, with reliable attendance and punctuality.

Comfort working in a healthcare or dental setting; prior experience in a clinic or office environment is an asset.

Attention to detail, confidentiality when handling patient information, and the ability to multi-task in a busy reception area.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in office administration or medical/dental reception is beneficial.
