Senior Records Management Clerk (Access to Information Coordinator)

Location: Edmonton, AB

Work Model: 100% Onsite (5 days/week) Monday to Friday One-hour unpaid lunch

Contract Duration: September 1, 2026 – August 31, 2027

Shift: 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM (Alberta Time)

Incorp rate: $45-$49.80/hr

T4- $35- $38/hour

Position Overview

Our client is seeking two Senior Records Management Clerks (Access to Information Coordinators) to support the administration and processing of Access to Information (ATI) requests under Alberta's Access to Information (ATI) Act .

Reporting to the ATI Coordinator , the successful candidates will work closely with Senior ATI Advisors to review, organize, redact, and prepare records for disclosure while ensuring compliance with legislative and policies.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage confidential information in a fast-paced government environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the processing of Access to Information (ATI) requests from intake through completion.
- Review the scope of ATI requests and determine the responsiveness of records.
- Organize, sort, and prepare records for disclosure, including:
- Identifying duplicate records
- Chronologically organizing documentation
- Determining record responsiveness
- Review records and identify information requiring redaction in accordance with the ATI Act.
- Prepare recommendations and supporting documentation for the ATI Coordinator.
- Assist with drafting correspondence to applicants.
- Maintain accurate and complete ATI request files within the Government's ATI tracking system.
- Prepare final disclosure packages for release.




- Ensure all work complies with policies, legislation, and information management standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.

Qualifications Required Skills & Experience

- Experience reviewing, organizing, and managing large volumes of records and documentation.
- Strong understanding of records management principles and document organization.
- Experience identifying confidential or sensitive information requiring redaction.
- Excellent attention to detail with solid analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong written communication skills with experience preparing correspondence and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

- Experience supporting Access to Information (ATI), Freedom of Information (FOIP), privacy, or records management functions.
- Previous experience working within a government or public sector environment.
- Knowledge of Alberta's Access to Information Act or similar privacy and information legislation.

Additional Information

- Criminal Record Check required prior to the start of the assignment.
- The client will provide office space, computer equipment, and system access.
