Role Description The Registered Dental Hygienist is a full-time position. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal assessments, and delivering comprehensive hygiene care. The role also involves reviewing medical and dental histories, taking and interpreting dental radiographs, and collaborating with dentists to develop and implement treatment plans.

The hygienist will educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and periodontal disease management, while maintaining accurate clinical records and adhering to infection control protocols. Participation in team meetings,



contribution to a positive patient experience, and support of overall practice operations are integral to the position.

Qualifications

Strong clinical skills in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support comprehensive treatment planning and patient care.

Proficiency in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including preventive procedures, scaling, and root planing.

Knowledge of Periodontal Disease, including assessment, maintenance, and patient education on prevention and management.

Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing.

Understanding of infection control standards, radiography techniques, and charting in dental practice management systems.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused and collaborative approach to care.

Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical setting, manage time well, and maintain attention to detail.

CPR certification and ongoing commitment to continuing education and career development.
