Untangle Mental Health Collective is seeking thoughtful, skilled, and collaborative contract clinicians to join our growing practice. We are seeking master’s-level Registered Psychologists, Registered Social Workers, or Canadian Certified Counsellors who are committed to delivering high-quality, practical, and client-centred mental health care.

This chance is well suited to clinicians who value accessible, grounded support and want to be part of a team that helps people make sense of what they are experiencing and move forward with clarity, confidence, and practical tools.

At Untangle, our clients may be navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, life transitions, neurodiversity, women’s life-stage changes, and relationship or family stress. We are looking for clinicians who bring strong professional expertise together with a warm, thoughtful, and non-judgmental presence.

What we Value

Untangle is philosophy-based, not service-based. We begin with the person, what they are facing, and what they need to move forward. Our clinicians are solution-focused, expert and approachable, collaborative, and non-judgmental.

We are committed to helping clients build lasting tools rather than dependence on long-term treatment, and we are looking for someone who shares this approach and wants to help shape a practice that is practical, connected, and grounded in everyday life. More than any one clinical niche, the primary driver for joining Untangle is strong alignment with our values and philosophy of care.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide counselling and therapeutic support to adult clients, teens, couples, or families based on scope of practice and experience.
- Develop collaborative care plans that reflect each client’s goals, strengths, and day-to-day realities.

- Use practical, evidence-informed approaches to help clients build insight, coping strategies, and sustainable change.
- Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other clinicians and contribute to an integrated, team-based model of care as the practice grows.
- Help shape a welcoming, accessible, and high-quality client experience from intake through ongoing care.

Qualifications

- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related mental health discipline.
- Current registration and good standing as a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, or as a Registered Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers, or certification as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. (Registered Provisional Psychologists are welcome to apply, however the clinic does not provide supervision, and shared office space with other regulated health professionals who are fully registered, may be limited and not guaranteed).
- Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and commitment to ethical practice.
- Ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Experience or interest in areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, neurodiversity,

late diagnosis, caregiver stress, life transitions, or women’s life-stage changes is an asset.
- Interest in contributing to a practical, collaborative, and integrated model of care.

What Untangle Offers Untangle offers a professional and welcoming clinic environment designed to support both clinicians and clients. We provide clinic space, reporting systems, clinic operations and administrative support, and marketing and practice growth support so clinicians can focus on delivering high-quality care.

Untangle is also designed as a social enterprise of Vecova, helping strengthen the organization’s charitable work in support of individuals with disabilities.

This opportunity offers the chance to join a growing team of like-minded clinicians and help build an integrated model of care that responds to each person’s individual needs.
