Job Summary

Healing Waves Counselling is a growing counselling practice based in British Columbia, offering both virtual services across BC and in-person sessions in 100 Mile House. We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Registered Social Worker (RSW) to join our collaborative counselling team.

About the Role The successful candidate will provide counselling services to:

- Individuals (adults)
- Youth and adolescents
- Couples

You will work with a diverse range of concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, BPD, relationship challenges, life transitions, emotional regulation, and trauma-related concerns.

Qualifications

- Registered and in good standing with the British Columbia College of Social Workers
- Minimum 3+ years of clinical counselling experience
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals, youth, and couples
- Strong clinical assessment, case conceptualization, and documentation skills
- Professional liability insurance
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment

Preferred Assets
- Training in trauma-informed practice
- Experience with attachment-based work
- Couples counselling training (Gottman, EFT, or similar approaches)
- Experience working virtually
- Interest in contributing to workshops or group programming
- Knowledge about ADHD

Responsibilities

- Develop individualized care plans that address patient needs, coordinate services, and facilitate access to community resources.
- Conduct research related to patient populations, best practices, and new interventions to improve service delivery.
- Educate families about available resources, special education options, and other support services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of case notes, assessments, and interventions in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide ADHD assessments

Qualifications

- Masters degree in Social Work (BSW) or related field
- Experience working with children and pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of case management principles, patient care procedures, and research methodologies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and report writing related to social work practices.
- Background in special education or working with diverse populations is advantageous.
- Compassionate nature with excellent problem-solving skills and cultural sensitivity. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $90.00-$130.00 per hour
