POSITION: Reservations Agent

DEPARTMENT : Front Desk

REPORTS TO : Front Office Manager/Assistant Front Office Manager

Job Title: Reservations Agent

Reports To: Front Office Manager/Assistant Front Office Manager A Reservations/Switchboard agent must possess excellent customer service skills, communication abilities, problem solving skills and patience. They must be able to tackle a diverse set of duties while maintaining their composure and a friendly demeanor while ensuring guest satisfaction by maintaining and exceeding the resort’s standards of quality and service. A qualified attitude with a passion for customer service are absolute requirements.

Job Duties:

- Answering phone calls in professional manner.
- Make/cancel reservations and answer guest queries over the phone.




- Input corporate rooming list reservations along with apply reservation changes and folio manipulations.
- Process guest folios, collect payment and issue invoice upon payment.
- Process HVR gift cards, physical and virtual
- Operate switchboard, direct calls and give information and take messages. .
- Assigning rooms and blocking to accommodate special services.
- Must have knowledge of the resort’s facilities.
- Maintain files (daily paper work), keys, gift shop items and other front desk supplies as required.
- Create and post in-house amenities.
- Working knowledge of the safes (located in the back office) – used by wedding guests.
- Daily check the HVR website for any new information/promotions.
- Check and answer email inquiries.
- Complete daily check list for a.m. / p.m. shifts
- Support FD coverage/operations when needed or as assigned
- All other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager.
- Making reservation in restaurants as required.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or Equivalent required.
- At least 1 year in Customer Service Industry required
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to multi task.
- Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.

Work Conditions:

- Working Weekend & Holidays are required
- Ability to sit/stand during entire shift.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Pay: $18.60 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate

- Mono, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
