Job Overview The Revenue Analyst supports the Director of Commercial Strategy in the analysis, forecasting, and optimization of hotel revenue across rooms and distribution channels.

This is a commercially minded analytical role. The successful candidate will go beyond producing reports by understanding the business, questioning the data, identifying opportunities, and translating analysis into clear insights and actionable recommendations.

The Revenue Analyst works closely with Revenue, Reservations, Sales, Marketing, Front Office, Finance, Operations, and external partners to support data-driven commercial decision-making.

Revenue Management & Forecasting

- Monitor demand, pace, pickup, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, revenue, and profitability trends.
- Support pricing, inventory, room type, restriction, market segment, and distribution decisions.
- Support weekly and monthly forecasting by analyzing on-the-books business, historical performance, pickup, booking windows, cancellations, wash, group displacement, events, and market demand.
- Identify forecast risks, opportunities, and emerging changes in demand.
- Support the evaluation of pricing, promotional, segmentation, and inventory strategies.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the assumptions underlying forecasts and revenue recommendations.

Business Intelligence & Analysis

- Own and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reporting and dashboards.
- Monitor performance against budget, forecast, prior year, and competitive benchmarks.
- Analyze performance by market segment, rate category, distribution channel, room type, booking window, length of stay, source market, customer type, promotion, and group versus transient business.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities that may not be visible through standard reporting.
- Prepare analysis for commercial, leadership, and financial meetings and translate complex data into clear,



actionable recommendations.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, data quality, and accessibility.

Distribution & Market Intelligence

- Monitor performance across direct channels, OTAs, consortia, wholesale, and other distribution partners, including revenue contribution, ADR, commissions, cost of acquisition, and profitability.
- Monitor rate parity and evaluate promotions and visibility programs based on performance and return on investment.
- Monitor competitor pricing, availability, promotions, and market positioning.
- Track major citywide events and other demand generators and maintain a forward-looking demand calendar.
- Provide relevant market and competitive intelligence to support commercial decision-making.

Systems, Business Planning & Commercial Partnership

- Maintain strong working knowledge of Opera Cloud, SynXis, IDeaS G3 RMS, Agency360, Revenue360, business intelligence tools, and other applicable systems.
- Support data integrity, investigate discrepancies, and work with IT and technology partners to resolve system issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, reporting, data quality, and system functionality.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, monthly financial analysis, commentary, and evaluation of the financial impact of revenue and distribution decisions.
- Build strong relationships with Reservations, Sales, Marketing, Front Office, Finance, Operations, and external partners.




- Contribute to commercial meetings, special projects, technology initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel Revenue Management, Revenue Analysis, Reservations, Finance, Business Intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
- Previous hotel industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful trends and opportunities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with hotel PMS, CRS, RMS, business intelligence, or distribution systems is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Opera Cloud, SynXis, IDeaS G3, Agency360, Revenue360, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar tools is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both analytical and non-technical audiences.
- Resourceful, curious, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Hospitality and commercial mindset with an understanding of the relationship between pricing, demand, inventory, distribution, and profitability.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- While infrequent, flexibility to work non-traditional hours or days when required by a critical business need.
