Roofing & Architectural Sheet Metal Crew Member

Location: Various Project Locations – Travel Required

Compensation: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

About the Role

Shift is looking for a hardworking and reliable Roofing & Architectural Sheet Metal Crew Member to support our roofing and solar installation projects.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a team. Projects are located throughout British Columbia and across Canada, and the successful candidate must be comfortable travelling based on project needs.

Responsibilities

- Assist with roofing and architectural sheet metal installations.
- Support roofing and solar installation crews with material handling and job-site preparation.
- Load, unload, move, and organize tools and materials.
- Assist with roof preparation, installation, and clean-up activities.
- Support the installation of roofing materials, flashing, architectural sheet metal, and related components.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow company and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with crew members and Field Leads to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Assist with other construction and project-related tasks as required.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of roofing and/or architectural sheet metal (ASM) experience is an asset, but not required.
- Previous construction or general labour experience is an asset.
- Valid driver's licence required.




- Must be comfortable working at heights.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
- Must be willing and able to travel for project work.

Travel Requirements Frequent travel is required for this position.

Project locations vary based on operational needs, project readiness, and scheduling. A significant amount of project work is located throughout British Columbia, including Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland, and employees may also be required to travel to projects elsewhere in Canada, including Ontario.

The frequency, location, and duration of travel will vary depending on active projects. Candidates must be comfortable with regular travel, including overnight and multi-day stays when required.
