Summary:

As a Sandblaster, you will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces through sandblasting and related surface preparation activities to support Ebco's manufacturing operations. You will ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards while working collaboratively with the Fabrication team to meet production schedules. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing quality results, and thrives in a physically demanding industrial setting.

- Other duties as assigned by Manager or Foreman.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:





- Working knowledge of safe working practices (i.e. with solvents) and WHMIS Regulations.
- Good communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing and speaking).
- Must be able to use all equipment safely.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding position and lift 50lbs.
- Ability to take direction and carry out work independently.
- Experience operating overhead bridge cranes is considered an asset.
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating a forklift are considered assets.

Additional:

- This is a physically demanding position and working at heights may be required
- Must be flexible with shifts (night, day and evenings)
- Must have steel-toed safety boots and coveralls to start.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a noisy environment.
