SAP Solution Architecture Specialist
Anticipated Duration: 12months
Duration of Potential Extension: 12 months
Location: Toronto, ON_ days onsite/week
Job Role:
- The SAP Architect will lead the design of the overall SAP busines solution so that it meets the business objectives, supports operational processes, and aligns with the overall technology strategy. Following the migration of SAP ECC system to S/4HANA, continuing the modernization of its solutions with the implementation of a new non-SAP budgeting solution, the rollout of materials management as well as the migration of Payroll to its own S/4 instance. The SAP Solution Architect will ensure that these new solutions are integrated and act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into an integrated SAP solution.
- This will ensure that the SAP landscape is designed to support the organization's current and future business needs while adhering to industry best practices, governance standards, and accounting practices. The SAP Architect will also cover the requirements from inflight projects that require data from SAP.
The SAP Architect will (from a business perspective);
- Align technology with business strategy
- Design end-to-end business solutions
- Ensure integration across the enterprise solutions
- Manage solution risks
- Support business transformation
- Collaborate with Suppliers implementing solutions
The SAP Architect should have the following;
1. A minimum of 20+ years hands-on experience in large project/program management with Government jurisdictions and or large private sector organizations.
2. Experience in delivering at least 5 end-to-end implementations preferably 1 implementation in a public sector environment.
3. Experience in developing business integration for SAP and non-SAP systems.
4. SAP Certification in Finance would be an asset
5. CPA designation would be an asset.
6. Expertise and experience in configuration SAP S/4HANA modules; Finance, Controlling, Accounts Payable, Funds Management, Grants Management, Project Systems, Asset Accounting and Asset Retirement Obligation.
7. Strong knowledge of test methodologies. Extensive experience with traditional and creative project management processes, techniques, tools across agile, waterfall, iterative methods and associated tools including PMBOK or SAP Activate Methodology.
8. Ability to lead efficient communication between all project stakeholders, including internal teams and clients.
9. Excellent written & verbal communication skills (comfortable & confident communicating at all levels, including business partners, leadership and vendors).
