Responsibilities

- Safely operate school buses along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations at all times
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during pickup, transit, and drop-off procedures
- Maintain a friendly, approachable demeanor to foster a welcoming environment for students of all ages
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify the bus’s mechanical condition and report any issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents,



and emergency responders when necessary
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, especially those requiring additional support such as senior care or multilingual assistance
- Keep accurate records of routes, student counts, incidents, and maintenance reports

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement required (E or B license)
- Experience working with children or in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact clearly with students, parents, and school personnel
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
- Customer service orientation with a caring attitude towards students’ safety and comfort
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining focus on safety standards

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
