We are seeking an experienced

Secure Automation Engineer with advanced scripting and secure-engineering skills to join the Productivity and Collaboration fleet within Workforce Technology. This team is modernizing and strengthening the security of the tooling and services used by employees across the firm. As an engineer in the Productivity and Collaboration fleet, the successful candidate will design and implement automation solutions to analyze, optimize, and strengthen the security of code across internal repositories, modernize legacy components, and help raise secure transport and engineering standards firm-wide.

The role spans all phases of the software development lifecycle, with close collaboration across squad members and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable value to stakeholders while building scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.

Location: Montreal, QC Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation solutions to analyze, optimize, and strengthen the security of code across internal repositories.

- Modernize and migrate legacy Perl applications to scalable, maintainable, and supported programming languages.
- Implement and enforce secure communication standards, including SSH certificates, TLS protocols, and other secure transport mechanisms.
- Leverage AI-powered coding assistants and automated refactoring tools to improve code quality, accelerate modernization efforts, and increase development efficiency.
- Develop and enhance security automation within CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated testing, code scanning, and secure deployment practices.
- Conduct code reviews and promote secure-by-design principles by defining and applying secure coding standards, best practices, and reusable patterns.




- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and security teams to identify opportunities for automation, reduce security risks, and improve software reliability.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new automation technologies and security tools to improve development workflows and operational efficiency.

Requirements - 7+ years of software development or engineering experience.

- Advanced, hands-on expertise in Python.
- Working knowledge of Perl for legacy code migration.
- Experience implementing secure transport standards, including SSH certificates and TLS protocols.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and automated refactoring tools.
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
- Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Hands-on experience with Jira or other issue-tracking systems.
- English fluent Nice-to-Have Skills - Experience with secrets management and certificate lifecycle automation.
- Familiarity with recognized application security standards (e.g., OWASP).
- Experience with Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing (SAST/DAST) tools.
- Cross-platform scripting across Windows and Linux environments.
