Looking to gain hands-on event security experience, build your résumé, and get a reliable reference for future employment? Join the Security Event Assistant team at the Toronto International BuskerFest and gain real-world experience while supporting a major Toronto festival and local nonprofit.

The Toronto International BuskerFest & Bark in the Park TO is looking for Security Event Assistants to join our volunteer team from September 4–7, 2026 at Woodbine Park.

Security Event Assistants work alongside our professional security team to help keep the festival safe, organized, and welcoming for performers, volunteers, vendors, and attendees.

What You'll Do

- Patrol festival grounds and monitor designated areas
- Help monitor key locations, including entrances and the licensed bar
- Assist with crowd flow and maintaining a safe event environment
- Communicate with the security and festival team using walkie-talkies
- Report concerns or incidents to the appropriate team members
- Support the professional security team as needed throughout the festival

No previous security experience is required. Volunteers can receive free in office training from our professional security company, making this a great opportunity for anyone interested in exploring event security or gaining relevant experience for their résumé. Previous security, customer service, event, or crowd-management experience is an asset, but not required.

Your time will directly support Epilepsy Toronto and help us raise funds and awareness for the 1 in 100 people living with epilepsy.
