This is an existing vacancy Summary (Major Purpose Of The Role) The Sr. Analyst, Supply Planning is responsible for demand and supply planning for a set of allocated product categories that span multiple market channels in North America.

This involves using analytics to develop and execute inventory strategies to support the required sales and customer service levels and participating in the monthly SIOP process. Also, this role develops and implements inventory planning methodologies and drives continuous improvement to optimize the trade-off between inventory, cost and service. The position collaborates extensively on the demand-side, with Sales and Marketing teams and on the supply-side with Sourcing, Procurement teams plus suppliers, to ensure effective communication of requirements and status of supply vs. demand in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Main Activities/Responsibilities

- Analyze product demand, trends and forecasts, review and finalize demand plans. This includes collaboration with Sales and Product Management to gather inputs from customers and sales channels and analysis of service level results
- Utilize reporting to analyze forecast accuracy and inventory availability to ensure 1) forecasts meet sales and service expectations and 2) inventory meets turn and ending inventory objectives.




- Develop and implement product and inventory segmentation methodologies to configure planning approaches to optimize supply vs. demand trade-offs
- Manage key supply planning performance drivers such as safety stocks, lot sizes (considering MOQs), STRs (stock transfer requisitions) and item ABC/XYZ indictors. Conducting appropriate analysis and evaluation of effectiveness and ensure that models are deployed as required
- Gather and use input from Sourcing, Procurement and suppliers, mainly based in Asia, to ensure that supply plans incorporate supply base constraints and requirements, including capacity, MOQs, holidays such as Chinese New Year and material shortages
- Collaborate with adjacent functional areas to manage tactical resolution of supply challenges, including leading expedite and de-expedite processes, reporting of service issues and root-cause analysis that results in on-going continuous improvement
- Review master data for accuracy and consistency, report and reconcile discrepancies across various systems (SAP ECC, SAP IBP, Setlog OSCA, Top Ocean); work with IT to correct short-term issues and implement long-term processes, technologies and strategies
- Lead analysis and problem solving with cross-functional stakeholders that drives continuous improvement in processes and tools that have a beneficial impact on results
- Use analytical and quantitative skills to work with large and complex datasets, analyze ambiguous problems, build decision-support tools, and develop recommendations to guide business decisions




- Report and escalate exceptions and issues in a timely manner to management and cross-functional stakeholders

Reporting Relationships And Supervision

- This individual reports directly to the Manager and does not have any direct reports.

Education And Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with SAP preferred with IBP Planning software a plus
- Excellent IT skills, with MS applications, especially Excel
