Prime‑Land Engineering is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with strong project management capabilities to lead complex land‑development projects across Alberta. Experience in hydrology and hydraulics will be considered a distinctive asset.
What You Will Lead
- Full lifecycle project management of land‑development projects—from feasibility through design, permitting, tendering, and construction support.
- Design leadership for subdivisions, grading, stormwater management, water/sanitary servicing, roadworks, and municipal infrastructure.
- Technical oversight of engineering deliverables, reports, and drawing packages in collaboration with drafting and design teams.
- Coordination with municipalities, approving authorities, surveyors, contractors, and multidisciplinary partners.
- Budgeting, scheduling, scope management, and client communication.
- Mentorship of intermediate engineers, EITs, and technologists to support team growth.
Technical Qualifications
- P.Eng. designation (or eligibility for registration in Alberta).
- 7–12+ years of civil engineering experience, exclusively in land development.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Land‑development design standards
- Site grading and earthworks
- Water, sanitary, and storm servicing design
- Roadway geometric design
- Ability to review and guide Civil 3D‑produced design models and drawings (hands‑on Civil 3D experience an asset).
- Hydrological & hydraulic modelling experience (e.g., SWMHYMO, EPA‑SWMM, HEC‑RAS) is a solid asset and will elevate candidates above others.
Project Management & Leadership Skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines.
- Experienced in preparing proposals, scopes of work, cost estimates, and client presentations.
- Clear communicator with a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
- Solid understanding of municipal approval processes and development workflows in Alberta.
- Comfortable mentoring junior staff and contributing to technical standards and continuous improvement.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $80,574.59-$147,457.72 per year
