- Prepare designs from concept to construction-ready stages
- Communicate with municipal and provincial authorities for permits and technical requirements
- Contribute to process improvements and design standards
- Deliver designs for residential and commercial developments
- Perform engineering calculations and support QA reviews
- Ensure timely, high-quality project completion
Here's what we are looking for:
- A degree or diploma in civil engineering, engineering design technology, or in a similar field
- Expertise in working with Autodesk Civil3D Points, Alignments, Profiles, Pipe Networks, Feature Lines, and Grading. Knowledge of Civil3D Corridors is an asset.
- Knowledge of sewer flow calculations, rational method analysis,

- Familiarity with the current City of Edmonton/EPCOR design and construction standards documentation and an understanding of their impact on private development engineering design submissions. Knowledge of other municipal standards in the greater Edmonton area (i.e. St. Albert, Strathcona County, etc.) is an asset.
- Experience in effectively addressing municipal comments (the City, EPCOR, etc.) on engineering drawing submissions, including collaborating with municipal reviewers to achieve approved practical design solutions.
- Ability to think on your feet and provide support to field staff while your designs are under construction, including prompt redline drawing preparation and/or confirming that any proposed “field-fit’ adjustments are feasible.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience designing drawings for land development projects throughout the entire project cycle (from concept through to construction-ready designs)
- Superior teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Teams
- Keen attention to detail
- Agility and ability to juggle multiple projects at a time
