Reporting to the Manager, the Senior Fire Alarm Technician ensures programming, inspection, maintenance, and emergency service of fire alarm systems.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Programming, inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing fire alarm systems
- Performing upgrades, repairs, additions or improvements to systems following inspection
- Preparation of inspection, and deficiencies reports in a timely manner
- Respond to emergency calls during evenings and weekends, on a rotational basis
Success Factors
- Diploma in Fire Protection Technology/Technologist or other relevant training
- 5 years of relevant experience in service and inspection of fire alarm systems
- CFAA certification (strong asset)
- Alberta Journeyperson Certification as an Electrician
- Solid customer service skills
- Working knowledge in programming fire alarm systems
- Knowledge of Notifier products (an asset)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work well independently
