This job is for an existing, active vacancy and We are looking to hire Software and Hardware Senior Engineer in Toronto, ON, Canada (On-site) & Montreal, QC (On-site), immediately who has strong experience in airborne software and electronic (FPGA, ASIC, PLD) design
**s. Role Overvi**
ew:In your role, you will review and assess supplier’s airborne software and electronic hardware designs to ensure they meet Client’s technical requirements and regulatory requirements. In order to achieve this, you wi ll:Participate to Client preliminary and critical system design revie ws.Review and assess supplier’s airborne software and electronic hardware certification pla ns.Review and assess supplier’s airborne software and electronic (FPGA, ASIC, PLD) desig ns.Perform technical and process audits at supplier’s faciliti es.Perform safety of flight revie ws.Assess software and hardware test results and analyses and determine final compliance stat us.Lead the resolution of safety, compliance or technical deficiencies with the suppliers and Client stakeholde rs.Prepare and/or review design compliance repor ts.Contribute to evolution of the SWEL (Software and Electronics)
domain roadm ap.Mentor less experienced professiona ls.Required Skil ls:You hold a university engineering degree in Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering or equivale nt.You have a minimum of 15 years of experience in a technical engineering field, including a minimum of 10 years in aeronauti cs.You have a minimum of 5 years of FPGA or ASIC development and / or embedded software development for aerospace applicatio ns.You have thorough working knowledge of airborne software and electronic hardware guidance and Means of Complian cesRTCA DO-178B/C, DO-248B/C, DO-254, DO-
