Position Summary

- Provide paralegal support to 2 lawyers in preparation, development and handling of cases for litigation
- Assist lawyers in scheduling and preparation for Questionings, Mediations, JDR’s, and Trials
- Help perform legal research, investigate facts, draft and finalize legal documents including pleadings and motions, affidavits, briefs, appeals, and reports
- Review files, identify issues, and communicate the best way to proceed with files
- Communicate with clients and Defense counsel on Questionings, etc.
- Handle clients’ relations at the highest level
- Provide exceptional customer service experience to all clients

Who you are:





- Paralegal with at least 8 years’ experience in litigation (plaintiff or defense)
- Have an applicable Paralegal education
- Solid understanding of legal terminology and excellent knowledge of the Alberta Rules of Court
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience providing exceptional customer service experience
- Strong time management with problem-solving, planning, and organizing skills
- Team player who is able to work effectively under pressure with others
- Experience managing paralegal department is a big asset
