What the job involves

- The successful candidate will work in the CONNECT Portfolio team reporting to the Director of Portfolio, CONNECT Common Services
- The role is responsible for product management across AVEVA’s Cloud Operations and Infrastructure (COI) domain — the shared platform, cloud infrastructure, and operational practices that underpin every capability delivered on CONNECT

- As Product Manager for COI, you will champion cloud operational readiness across the organisation, helping evolve AVEVA’s SaaS operational effectiveness

- You will act as the connective tissue between the teams that build and operate the platform — R&D;, Delivery, Commercial Operations, and Support — and the capability teams that depend on it, reducing friction, accelerating delivery, and making cloud readiness a natural, built-in part of how capabilities are designed and delivered
- The role spans three connected areas: the developer platform and enablement tooling that teams build, test,

and deploy with; the organisation-wide cloud-readiness that raises confidence and value across the portfolio; and the underlying cloud infrastructure and cloud estate foundations that CONNECT services run on

- You will discover, distil, prioritise, and translate requirements from across these areas into a clear, measurable roadmap, and create organisational transparency into COI’s delivery

- Product Management for Cloud Operations &
- Infrastructure: Lead product management for the COI domain, spanning the developer platform and shared development infrastructure, cloud-readiness practices, and the foundational cloud infrastructure and estate that powers CONNECT services

- Champion Cloud Readiness Across the Organisation: Drive timely adoption of cloud-operational readiness practices within capability definition and planning, working alongside Portfolio and R&D.; Ensure teams prioritise cloud operational readiness as a standard part of the development process, unblocking misunderstandings, and socialising the benefits with stakeholders across the portfolio

- Engage Stakeholders &

- Gather Requirements: Partner with Value Realization (VR) owners, Development and Delivery teams, and leadership to understand short- and long-term needs. Incorporate customer feedback and market signals to keep COI’s direction grounded in real demand

- Translate Requirements into Measurable Deliverables: Turn requirements from the field and stakeholders into actionable, scoped, and measurable deliverables with clear success criteria, captured and maintained in tools such as Aha! and Azure DevOps

- Reduce Friction &

- Accelerate Delivery: Guide and assist teams in supporting operational and shared platform needs, reducing friction in deployment pipelines and accelerating release cycles. Enable the tools and learning resources that shorten onboarding time for developers and teams aligning to cloud-readiness expectations

- Own &

- Evolve Shared Development Infrastructure: Maintain and enhance the foundational infrastructure that development teams across services rely on to build, test, and deploy efficiently, ensuring it scales with demand

- Ensure Capabilities are Observable: Working across the organisation to ensure that capabilities are observable and with defined service level metrics

- Establish &

- Scale CONNECT Infrastructure Foundations: Identify and enable delivery of new infrastructure components and practices that support Value Realization initiatives across the CONNECT domains, providing robust, scalable foundations for platform stability and performance

- Drive Standards &

- Fitness for Purpose: Validate that COI deliverables are fit for purpose, and that service descriptions and definitions are standard, accurate, and consistent across the platform

- Facilitate SaaS Operational Readiness: Host a regular SaaS Operational Readiness forum spanning COI, R&D;, Commercial Operations, and Support to align priorities, track progress, and maintain transparent communication of roadmaps and delivery plans, including regular backlog grooming of field requirements

- Measures of Success
- Increased cloud-operational awareness, confidence, and value across the organisation,

with COI established as a trusted point of coordination for AVEVA’s SaaS business

- Faster, more reliable cloud delivery across service domains through streamlined, consistent deployment practices

- Reduced time-to-adopt and improved time-to-market for new and existing capabilities achieving cloud readiness

- Scalable, stable CONNECT infrastructure foundations that capability teams can build on with confidence
