Job Summary
Upstaff Employment Services is hiring ATI Analysts for the Government of Alberta. This onsite prospect supports the Access to Information (ATI) team by reviewing, organizing, and preparing records for disclosure in accordance with Alberta's Access to Information legislation. The successful candidate will assist with document review, record management, redaction recommendations, correspondence preparation, and maintaining ATI case files while ensuring compliance with government information governance and privacy requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review records received for Access to Information requests.
- Examine request scope and determine record responsiveness.
- Identify duplicate documents and organize records chronologically.
- Review records and identify information requiring redaction.
- Assist in preparing correspondence to applicants.
- Support ATI Coordinators and Senior ATI Advisors throughout request processing.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the ATI tracking system.
- Prepare completed disclosure packages for release.
- Ensure compliance with Access to Information legislation and Government of Alberta policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working independently and collaboratively within a professional team environment.
- 4+ years of experience proofreading and formatting Microsoft Word documents.
- 4+ years of experience reviewing and analyzing document content.
- 2+ years of experience in Information Governance, Records Management, or Information Management.
- Strong organizational and document management skills.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience editing PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat Pro or similar software.
- Experience with information management, privacy, and security legislation.
- Experience interpreting and applying Access to Information and Privacy legislation (ATIA/POPA/FOIP).
- Experience working in ticketing systems or email-based workflow environments.
- Knowledge of government information management practices.
- Experience handling confidential or sensitive records.
