Role: Senior Ruby on Rails developer - Rest API, React.js

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 Days/Week Onsite)

Duration: 6–12 Months (Contract)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails) to join a high-performing engineering team building scalable, secure, and customer-focused applications. In this role, you'll contribute to product strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of critical software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality Ruby on Rails applications.

Write clean, scalable, and well-tested code that aligns with business requirements and engineering best practices.

Lead the planning, architecture, implementation, and maintenance of key software components.

Build new features and enhance existing functionality based on product roadmap priorities.

Ensure application reliability, performance, and production stability.

Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, sprint planning, and delivery meetings.

Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, and engineering teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.

Track work progress using Jira and Agile/Kanban methodologies.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Promote secure coding practices and ensure the protection of sensitive customer data.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.





5+ years of professional experience in software development.

Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails development.
