About the Prospect
We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join a growing organization in Richmond, BC. This is a hands-on infrastructure role spanning hybrid environments, cloud platforms, and endpoint management, with real ownership and room to drive improvements.
What you will do
You will own the design, implementation, and day-to-day management of enterprise IT infrastructure across VMware ESXi/vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Microsoft Azure. You will manage identity environments including Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, administer Microsoft 365 and Intune, and maintain core services such as DNS, DHCP, PKI, and file servers. Automation with PowerShell, vulnerability management, and DR/BCP planning are also core to the role.
You will provide Tier 3 support, lead root cause analysis, and maintain documentation including SOPs, runbooks, and system diagrams. On-call and occasional after-hours support is required.
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi/vSphere and/or Nutanix AHV
- Microsoft Azure administration in a hybrid environment
- Active Directory and Entra ID management (Conditional Access, MFA)
- Microsoft 365 and Intune administration
- PowerShell scripting and process automation
- PKI, DNS, DHCP, and file server management
- SAN/NAS and physical server experience
- DR/BCP planning and testing
- ITIL process familiarity
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Nice to have: Microsoft Purview, Defender for Endpoint, RMM tools (NinjaOne), monitoring platforms.
