We are seeking a skilled Fabricator and/or Welder to join our dynamic team. This role involves the fabrication and assembly of metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fabrication and welding techniques and be proficient in reading blueprints to execute projects effectively.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications (CWB, ASME, API 650).
- Utilize hand tools and welding equipment to perform tasks efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements and specifications.
- Operate forklifts and rigging equipment safely to move materials as needed.
- Conduct quality checks using tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure precision in work.
- Construct plate fabrications and other metal assemblies, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Skills
- Proficient in fabrication techniques,
including welding (MIG, TIG, and stick).
- Strong ability to assemble various metal components accurately.
- Experience with hand tools such as grinders, saws, and drills.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and rigging practices.
- Competent in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of custom fabrication processes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Interprovincial Red Seal Certification (or equivalent)
