The time has finally come for Old Yale Brewing Craft Brewery + Kitchen Chilliwack to reopen its doors, but first we need to fill it with some awesome people…aka YOU!

Old Yale Brewing opened our doors way back in 1999 and since our start, we’ve always stayed true to our roots, seeking perfect balance using the finest, all-natural ingredients to craft truly one-of-a-kind beers and delicious campfire-inspired food.

The Role

At Old Yale Brewing, the Shift Lead - BOH is a hands-on kitchen leader responsible for delivering exceptional food, strong team performance, and operational excellence. Leading by example, you'll support kitchen operations, mentor team members, maintain quality standards, and help create the seamless guest experiences that define OYB.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach, and support kitchen team members.
- Oversee food preparation, quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Prepare and cook menu items to OYB recipes and standards.
- Support scheduling, labour management, and kitchen performance.
- Manage inventory, ordering, product rotation, and cost control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.




- Collaborate with front-of-house teams and support special events and promotions.

Key Qualifications

- Minimum two years of professional kitchen or food service experience.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, training, or mentoring experience is an asset.
- Valid food safety certification required.
- Strong understanding of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and culinary standards.
- Experience with inventory management, ordering, and kitchen operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Passion for hospitality, great food, and craft beer.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work flexible hours.
