Position Overview

We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver & Laser Assistant to join our team on-site in Langley. This dual role combines material handling and physical inventory organization with hands-on support operating, loading, and offloading our CNC laser cutting equipment.

Because this role is fully integrated with physical shop floor operations and material movements, remote work is not possible.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving

- Safely unload incoming deliveries, raw sheet metal stock, and customer-supplied materials using a forklift.
- Inspect incoming stock for correct material grades, sheet gauges, quantities, and visible damage against delivery slips.
- Package, wrap, crate, and label finished stainless steel products, custom assemblies, and cut parts for safe customer pickup or transport.
- Receive, log, and organize raw sheet stock, drops, and general shop consumables.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized staging area for raw materials and outgoing goods.

Laser Assistant Support

- Assist the Laser Operator with loading sheet metal onto our TRUMPF CO2 laser beds using vacuum suction lifts and offloading processed parts.
- Sort, de-burr, tag,



and organize cut components according to job traveler orders and shop floor routing.
- Stage raw sheet materials for upcoming laser nests and manage remnant sheet stock.
- Perform basic routine maintenance in the cutting cell, including cleaning laser slats, clearing scrap trays, and maintaining a clear work site.

Must-Have Qualifications

- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication skills are a must to follow safety protocols, verify packing slips, and coordinate with shop leadership.
- Forklift Experience: Valid forklift operator certification or solid, proven hands-on experience in a shop or manufacturing environment.
- Physical Capability: Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs, remain active throughout the shift, and handle sharp sheet metal safely using appropriate PPE.
- Detail-Oriented: Precision and accuracy when verifying material gauges, finishes, and part quantities.

Nice-to-Have & General Skills

- Prior experience operating sheet metal vacuum suction lifts.
- Previous experience in a sheet metal, custom fabrication, or manufacturing job shop.
- A proactive, team-first attitude with a continuous focus on workplace safety.
