Solar Installer / Solar Installation Technician – Solcan

Location: London / Straffordville area, Ontario

Type: Full time

Pay: Based on experience

Solcan is a family-owned solar company looking for a motivated Solar Installer / Technician to join our team. We design, manufacture, and install solar thermal, photovoltaic (PV), and solar pool heating systems for residential and commercial clients across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

- Install solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and related components according to design specs
- Perform electrical wiring and connect systems to the grid or battery storage
- Install and work with solar thermal and pool heating systems (plumbing experience is a plus)
- Conduct site assessments and ensure proper placement/alignment of equipment
- Follow safety standards and ensure installations pass inspection




- Collaborate with the team and communicate clearly with clients

What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience in solar installation preferred (training available for the right person)
- Experience with plumbing (PVC, copper) is a strong asset
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Comfortable working at heights and on roofs
- Valid driver’s licence
- Welding/fabrication experience is a bonus
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and passionate about renewable energy
