Solution Architect – Cyber Security / Risk
Job Summary The Solution Architect is responsible for designing and governing secure, scalable, and compliant technology solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards, cyber security requirements, and risk management objectives. This role partners with business, technology, and vendor teams to define target-state architectures, assess current environments,
and drive strategic modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Assess business requirements, processes, and application landscapes to support compliance, governance, security, and technology strategies
Define and document current-state and target-state architecture for business-managed applications
Develop architecture blueprints, capability models, and solution roadmaps
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and governance frameworks
Conduct risk assessments and identify architecture, security, and operational risks
Ensure solutions comply with organizational policies, security directives, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with Business, Technology, and Vendor teams to deliver architecture solutions
Present architecture strategies, recommendations, and roadmaps to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Support architecture governance and participate in architecture review processes
Drive modernization initiatives and adoption of emerging technologies
Contribute to the continuous improvement of architecture practices and standards
Must-Have Skills
Strong experience in Solution Architecture, Technology Design, and Enterprise Architecture
Knowledge of Business Architecture, Data Architecture, and Cyber Security Architecture
Experience with risk assessment, comp liance, governance, and security controls
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and best practices
Experience documenting current-state and target-state architecture models
Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage complexity and drive alignment across cross-functional teams
Experience working with security policies, risk frameworks, and governance standards
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and innovation
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Knowledge of .NET, Java, Spring Boot, Python, JavaScript, Docker, and Kubernetes
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices
Cloud migration and modernization experience
Knowledge of public and private cloud platforms
Experience modernizing legacy applications and enterprise platforms
Banking, Financial Services, Cyber Security, or Risk Management domain experience
Exposure to digital transformation and enterprise technology strategy initiatives
Salary Range - CA$ 90,000 - CA$ 110,000 Per Year
