POSITION: Sport Leagues Convener (Toronto/ Mississauga/Milton/Kitchener Waterloo Area)

TERM: Part Time

Pay: From CA$18.00 - 25.00 (based on experience)

: The League Convener is a key member of the Stadium Sport Leagues team. The successful candidate will be motivated, show initiative, success working independently and with a team, as well as have excitement for working and out on the field. This person will report to the League Manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Game Management

- Accurately recording game scores
- Ensuring games start and end on time
- Ensuring teams are on the correct fields
- Recording referee of each match
- On-going communication with referees
- Monitoring teams and recording skill level
- Observing games to ensure rules are followed
- Deescalating contentious issues
- Recording red cards, including player name and offense
- Transitioning fields between games, as necessary

Customer Service
- Greeting team captains and players as they arrive at the facility
- Acting as primary contact for the league while on-site
- Addressing complaints and questions
- Acting as source for league rules and guidelines

League Knowledge




- Understanding league rules, culture and intricacies
- Policies and procedures for league play
- Collecting player and personal insight/feedback for improvements

Your required skills and experience include:
- Knowledge of soccer rules and general league functioning
- Customer service experience
- General computer skills
- Business, sport/recreation, or other relevant post-secondary diploma/degree an asset
- Previous relevant work experience in a related field an asset.
- Previous Soccer referee experience and convening experience preferred

Your work schedule will include:
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Job Types: Casual, Part-time Part-time hours: 6 - 30 per week
