The Senior Development Engineering Consultant for Migration Solution & Onboarding develops the services, utilities, and integration logic required to support safe transition from legacy platforms to the new environment.
This role focuses on migration tooling, onboarding support, reconciliation, validation, and operational readiness for cutover waves.
This role is part of an AI first software engineering organization where Artificial Intelligence is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. Candidates must demonstrate practical experience leveraging AI to improve productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes using modern AI assisted development practices.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Develop migration services, onboarding utilities, and transition components that support platform cutover.
- Build APIs, services, and reconciliation logic to move data and transactions safely between systems.
- Implement migration validation, monitoring, and diagnostics capabilities for onboarding waves.
- Support proxy, facade, and interface adapter logic required for transition and coexistence.
- Work closely with the Migration Architect and integration teams to ensure execution aligns with the migration plan.
- Troubleshoot migration defects, data issues, and environmental concerns during onboarding.
- Use AI assisted development and BMAD practices to accelerate delivery and maintain quality.
- Support cutover, rollback, and hypercare activities as migration waves progress.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 8+ years of experience developing enterprise software solutions using Java or similar languages.
- Strong hands on experience with microservices, integration services, and migration tooling.
- Experience with Kafka or other event driven technologies.
- Experience with XML, API, and data transformation logic.
- Experience with Azure or other public cloud environments.
- 5+ years of hands on experience using contemporary software engineering and DevSecOps toolchains, including VS Code, GitLab, JFrog Artifactory/Nexus, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), OpenShift Pipelines/Argo CD, and SonarQube.
- Demonstrated experience working within an AI enabled Software Development Lifecycle (AI SDLC), leveraging AI assisted development tools to improve software engineering productivity, quality, testing, documentation, and delivery outcomes.
- Hands on experience using the BMAD framework or a comparable AI native delivery methodology.
- Strong understanding of Agile, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices.
- Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting migration, cutover, or onboarding programs is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications .Telecommunications or regulated industry experience.
.Experience with data reconciliation, validation, and migration controls.
.Experience with containerized deployment and Kubernetes.
.Experience with legacy protocol integration or interface adaptation.
.Experience with SonarQube or similar code quality tools.
.Experience leveraging AI assisted development tools to improve delivery speed and quality.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
