Position Summary The Support Aide I plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients receiving in-home care. Focusing primarily on non-medical assistance, daily living support, and companionship, this role ensures clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

- Companionship &
- Social Engagement:

Provide meaningful social interaction, conversation, and accompaniment during walks, hobbies, or home-based activities.

- Home Support &

- Maintenance:

Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, laundry, and maintaining clean living spaces.

- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to client preferences and dietary guidelines, ensuring a clean kitchen area afterward.

- Client Monitoring: Observe daily well-being and report any notable changes in mood, comfort, or physical condition to the Care Coordinator.

Qualifications &

- Requirements

- Education:



High school diploma; relevant coursework or training in health sciences, social work, or personal support is considered an asset.

- Experience: Previous experience in caregiving, hospitality, senior support, or customer-facing roles preferred.

- Required Certifications:

- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C (AED included).

- Clear and current Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check (PIC).

- Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable daily access to a personal vehicle with appropriate auto insurance for travel to client residences in Calgary.

- Preferred / Bonus Qualifications:

- Additional medical or specialized certifications (e.g., Medication Administration, Mental Health First Aid, Dementia care training, or related healthcare certificates) are highly valued and considered a solid asset.

- Core Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, natural empathy, patience, and strong reliability.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
