Responsibilities

- Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and artistry
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all food preparation areas
- Source fresh ingredients and ensure proper storage to preserve quality and freshness
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Educate and guide junior kitchen staff or apprentices on sushi techniques and presentation standards
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to keep the kitchen well-stocked
- Uphold consistency in taste, appearance,



and portion sizes across all dishes served

Qualifications

- Proven experience working as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
- Experience working with children or teaching culinary skills is a plus
- Background in cooking, early childhood education, or classroom experience is advantageous for engaging with younger audiences or educational programs
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Passion for culinary arts and continuous learning about new sushi trends and techniques
