Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Maker to join our vibrant culinary team! Duties

- Prepare fresh sushi ingredients, including fish, vegetables, and rice, following established recipes and safety guidelines
- Assemble sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other Japanese delicacies with precision and artistic flair
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, ensuring all tools and surfaces are sanitized regularly
- Monitor ingredient freshness and manage inventory to minimize waste while ensuring quality standards are met
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper handling, storage, and temperature control of raw ingredients
- Serve prepared sushi dishes promptly to ensure optimal taste and presentation for customers




- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of food quality and customer service in a lively restaurant setting

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation, especially in sushi making or Japanese cuisine
- Solid knowledge of food handling safety procedures and sanitation practices
- Excellent knife skills for precise slicing of fish and vegetables
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior food service or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of the food industry standards related to meal preparation and presentation
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth service flow
